About the Item

c. 1910s/1920s; The Camberwell Distillery - London Antique repainted tin litho gin sign. This piece was originally a self-framed tin litho advertisement for El Bart Dry Gin. However, the "El Bart" logo was painted over and "Quit Kicken My Dorg" was put in its place. This is a reference to popular folk song of the era. In addition to this, the backdrop has also been altered to show a dark brown door instead of the blonde wood shown on the original sign.
