Unusual Set of German Mid-20th Century Shop Trade Sign Tools

About the Item

Unusual set of German mid-20th century shop trade sign tools Every now and again we are lucky enough to acquire items that firstly we have never seen and secondly, we will never see again. This astonishing set of oversized mid-20th century trade sign tools are one of those items. The craftsmanship across all 3 of these German shop display trade signs is amazing, the detail and share size is what sets them apart. Handcrafted using sectioned wood, metal and brass each detail is as you may expect to find on the real thing. An oversized handsaw, screwdriver, and chisel/ With their original hanging hooks still present and a maker’s name which resembles ACHIER CHROME etched into the chisel. The handsaw weights close to 25KG alone, these objects would likely have hung in a wood merchants shop window to adverts services and products. This example is one of the best trade sign objects we have uncovered in a long-time one thing is for sure, won’t find another set quite the same……… Size in inches approx.: Hand Saw H 10” x W 53” x D 10” Screwdriver H 42” x W 5” x D 5” Chisel H 20” x W 3.2” x D 2.2” Period: Mid-20th century Material: Wood, metal, and brass Origin: Germany Condition: Aged Completely solid in structure and form, aged naturally, Fading and loss of paint across areas of the surface, elements of natural rusting across the metal surface, and deep patina across all the aged wood. The wooden sections hand natural splits in them such as the handles. The brass section has aged naturally with light patination’s across them. These objects are not new or have not been aged back for effect, they date from the 50s or 60s and have aged naturally overtime as the pictures show. This is an aged object so expect age related wear as the photos aim to show however it is exceedingly difficult to photograph all the areas on this piece. Therefore, we strongly suggest reviewing all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where sections / condition is unclear to avoid disappointment when purchasing.
