Japanese Kokeshi folk art wood doll by Kumagai Otsu. There are ten types of Kokeshi doll, this is the Naruko variety. Measuring height 23.5 cm / 9.25 inches by diameter at the base 5.7 cm / 2.24 inches. The Kokeshi doll is in very good condition, with a lovely patina.
This is a wonderful Kokeshi doll from Japan.
