A grasshopper weathervane with body of pitted iron rotating on vertical rod with N E W S directionals below, now on wooden box stand with one side removable. The grasshopper was the symbol of Sir Thomas Gresham, financial advisor to Queen Elizabeth I and founder of the Royal Exchange. This weathervane is probably circa 1930.
