1940s Paavo Tynell 'A1942' White Counterweight Pendant for Idman Oy
About the Item
1940s Paavo Tynell 'A1942' white counterweight pendants for Idman Oy. This rare and exceptional pendant is executed in white painted perforated metal and brass, and can be raised and lowered using its ingenious counterweight and pulley system. Manufactured by Idman in the early 1950s, this is a fine stamped example of a Tynell's iconic design. Literature: Idman, manufacturer's catalogue, unpaginated.
Price is per item. Two lamps available.
Rewired for US electrical. Accommodates a single 75 watt max medium base bulb (higher with LED). Some minor patination, scuffs and dings as largely shown in the photos and noted only for accuracy. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing available from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Please contact dealer to facilitate. Note: Only one representative example of the lamps is featured in the photos. Patina varies some from lamp to lamp.
