About the Item
A beautiful midcentury Cascade chandelier by Swedish designer Hans Agne Jakobsson.
The chandelier comprises seven metal shades with charcol-brown finish and brass cones, all hanging from a seven-way brass ceiling canopy. Nicely made with an attractive sculptural silhouette.
The light is in good original condition with age-appropriate wear including rubs to the finish, minor chips to the paint and an aged patina to the brass; minor cracking to the brass cones visible on close inspection. See images for details and overview.
Wiring and Bulbs:
The wiring is original and we advise this is tested/replaced as required prior to install. Each shade has a lamp-holder taking an E14 small screw-fitting bulb; we recommend low-heat models to protect this piece for the future.
