Deriva is a hanging lamp with direct and indirect LED light, an evolution of the ceiling light fixtures especially designed for Fragile's new location in the centre of Milan. It was designed by Alessandro Mendini for Fragile Edizioni on the occasion of the Salone del Mobile 2015. Alessandro Mendini called it Deriva (in Italian this word means "drift") because "it looks like a stretched origami, like a boat floating in the space of a room". This limited and numbered edition of 7 exemplars is made in copper and features a mirrored hand polished body. Low voltage strip led light (90w total). Signed.
