Elegant Paavo Tynell Crystal Chandelier Model 1487 for Taito

About the Item

An elegant chandelier by Paavo Tynell from the 1940s and made by Taito. Different to what we usually see from Tynell, this rather classic with a modernistic touch lamp, goes to prove the versatility of his designs. In this design, Tynell substituted the classical cut crystals with modernistic drop like glass pieces and he also incorporated brass decorative pieces with the glass. The bulbs are also covered with modernistic half circled shaped shades. An elegant piece of lighting that would fit modern and classic interiors alike. This piece has been fully renovated and polished keeping all original parts except for the shade fabric (frames are original) and the brass wire holding the glass parts have been renewed.
