About the Item
Large black veined white alabaster and brass pendant light fixture, France, circa the 1920s.
An impressive and wonderful alabaster pendant chandelier from circa the 1920s. Beautifully veined and masterfully carved white alabaster bowl suspended by brass chains with brass fasteners and a matching alabaster ceiling canopy.
The light shining through the white stone with black veins is atmospheric, emanating a beautiful ambiance when lit and unlit.
Three new sockets for E27 (E26) size light bulbs, and new brass chains.
Dimensions: height: circa 62 cm / 24.4 in; diameter: 59,5 cm / 23.43 in. The height can be adjusted - shortened by removing the chain links.
In good condition with slight typical signs of use and aging of alabaster.
The light fixture is in complete working order, but as with all vintage or antique lighting, we always suggest a qualified electrician installs it.
