Technique: Cast
Contemporary Glass Lamp: Semazen Crystal Hanging Pendant Light Blue
Located in Ulcombe, Kent
This new lighting collection is cast in optic crystal and inspired by A.M. radio waves and whirling motions of Sufi dancers. The dynamic between the inner and outer form encourages viewers to look both through and at the surface of the glass with its waves and striations of color. The pieces are made using an ancient glass casting technique called core casting. The color way of each suspended light is unique due to the nature of the movement of glass within the cast mould. Lit by a micro LED marker contained within the bronze mount the light sparkles through hundreds of tiny bubbles creating a glowing ambience that is reflected from within by the delicate textures and waves of the core. When viewed together, each group of pendants creates a story of alchemy, texture, and energy that can harmonize with their setting whether it be austere or luxurious. Each piece is cast in the studio of Max Jacquard Glass on the Greensand Way in Kent, England. Max's experience in cast glass spans the length of 30 years and he is known for his innovative and tasteful approach to cast glass that is based in historical methods and contemporary practice. Core cast in optical lead crystal with bronze mount, hand polished. Dimensions: Semazen pendant 400mm height x 110mm diameter, weight 2.7kg Colours are customizable. Shown here from left to right: Topaz/Brown Brown/Amber black Amethyst/Aquamarine Rose/Topaz with copper dusting interior Brown/Topaz with gold...

Large & Timeless Hand Carved White & Black Alabaster Pendant / Flush Mount 1910s
Located in Lisse, NL
Large size and timeless, hand carved, antique alabaster pendant light. Thanks to its 'calm' and timeless Art Deco design this alabaster chandelier will look great in all kinds of interiors. It is in very good condition from top to bottom and the beautifully spread, thunderstroke-like black veins contrast even more when the light is switched on. Also, because the dark veins then turn pitch black against an even whiter background and that contrast truly is amazing to look at. Have you also noticed the stylish and mint condition, blackened brass canopy? It is adjustable in height and thanks to the hook inside, safely mounting this chandelier tight to your ceiling can be done in just a few minutes. Even if we shot a hundred more photos, you still would not be able to see the true allure of this piece. In real life (or in person) our antiques always have that little bit extra and this fine light fixture from the European Arts and Crafts...
