Icône du design postmoderne italien, le lampadaire Shogun a été dessiné par Mario Botta pour Artemide en 1986. Reconnaissable entre mille par son abat-jour en tôle perforée orientable, il joue sur la lumière et l’ombre à travers un maillage géométrique d’une précision architecturale. Sa structure en acier peint et son fût rayé noir et blanc traduisent parfaitement l’univers rigoureux et poétique de Botta, où chaque détail devient un élément sculptural. Véritable sculpture lumineuse, le Shogun est aussi spectaculaire éteint qu’allumé, un classique intemporel, présent dans les collections du MoMA de New York.
