Mid-Century Minimalist Floor Lamp by Edi Franz for Swiss Lamps, 1950s

About the Item

Rare floor lamp from Swiss Lamps after a draft of EDI Franz from the 50s. This design is ahead of his time. The reduced form language already reminds of the 60s, while he has already emerged in the mid-50s. This floor lamp pulls her elegance of precision and technical details. Especially the eye is the simple execution of the luminaire heads. A long cylinder at the front end as a screen is mounted a simple blend. The blend is connected to the shaft of the spotlight with three fine webs. The three spotlights can be freely adjusted and fixed in height. Each spot has a separate switch on the spotlight. The luminaire has two liabilities. Two spotlights are put together. To do this, each steel head has a socket as a special feature on the back to switch the radiators in series.
