A Fine & Impressive Pair of Rococo Revival Gilt Bronze Wall Sconces, Circa 1900

About the Item

A very fine & richly cast pair of gilt bronze wall sconces in the Rococo manner, showing cartouche shaped & pierced rocaille backplates with finely chiseled foliate elements, supporting a trio of foliate cast branches rising to urn-shaped nozzles over flattened drip pans. The reverse of both backplates bearing impressed letters EGG which are presumably foundry marks. Dimensions, 18" high x 15.75" wide x 10" deep. Weighing a substantial combined weight of 25.2 lbs.
