About the Item

An exquisite pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu sconces. Each two arm sconce is centered by a charming foliate finial below the lovely lightly curved central support adorned with intricately detailed blooming flowers. At the center is a beautiful richly chased maiden in a superb satin and burnished finish holding the two scrolled arms decorated with charming foliate designs leading to the fluted and beaded bobeches and elegant candle cups. All original gilt throughout.
