About the Item
An opulent Bohemian ruby cased and polychrome enameled cut glass decanter from the 19th century, now fashioned as a table lamp. Exquisitely handcrafted and detailed for the Islamic market, having Middle Eastern design influence, with a ring neck, the cut and shaped body gilded and painted red and gold with small flowers, geometric patterns and intricate design, resting on a scrolled, shaped and filigree Art Nouveau styled base. A wonderful example of antique Bohemian art glass.
