Art Nouveau Blue Ceramic Vase-Lamp attributed to Paul Milet, France, circa 1900

About the Item

Superb "antique" ceramic vase in the shape of an amphora, with a very beautiful iridescent enamel finish in blue-green / turquoise color. This vase features a finely crafted bronze frame of good quality, in the German Art Nouveau / Jugendstil style. Recently mounted lamp: new electricity. Art Nouveau, France, circa 1900. Attributed to Paul Milet (1870-1950), son of the ceramist Félix Optat Milet and himself a ceramist, trained in the laboratory of the Manufacture de Sèvres. He worked in the factory founded by his father, which he gradually took over. Paul Milet exhibited in Paris and Sèvres. His productions were also distributed through the stores La Samaritaine and Les Galeries Lafayette. Then history repeats itself and it is Paul's son, Henri, who will also become a ceramist and will work with his father. In very good condition.
