Austrian Art Deco Bronze and Rouge Marble Lamp Retailed by B. Altman & Co.
About the Item
An Art Deco period Austrian bronze and marble lamp.
Retailed by Benjamin Altman and Co., the longtime luxury Midtown Manhattan retailer.
Comprised of alternating chocolate colored bronze and marble elements.
The marble has pink, yellow and ochre tones. The central bronze element consists of a frieze or relief depicting a classical scene.
Stamped to the bottom bronze ring: B. Altman and Co. & Made in Austria

It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with some very fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
Condition Details:
There are a few chips to the edges of the marble. The lamp requires rewiring.
