Handmade Ceramic Typographic Whoop Ass Can Table Lamp

About the Item

Ever wanted to open up a can of whoop-ass on someone? Well now you can! Plus, it'll add some playful, warm light to whatever space you place it in—a true win-win scenario! The Whoop-Ass Can Lamp, created by Ethan Streicher, the founder and artist behind the studio Streicher Goods, is inspired by the Pop Art movement with brightly-colored, bold typography and pays homage to early canned food packaging of the 1920s and 30s. Each table lamp is hand-built from off-white stoneware, using slab-building methods and hand-lettered using various underglazes. To achieve a crisp letter form, the letter negatives are then carved away, leaving behind a texture reminiscent of a relief printing block. Each piece is finished in a glossy clear glass to add shine & saturation to the colors. Powered by a 4" frosted E26 Tubular bulb. Features a hi/lo/off inline switch.
