Pair of Paavo Tynell Table Lamps Model 9227 in Red
About the Item
An exquisite example of a beautiful classic design with features that makes it suitable for a wide range of spaces especially offices, home offices or reading and working tables.
This 9227 model table lamp has proven to be a customers favorite over the years, and in painted colors lately, as a contrast to the black and white versions that are more common.
Both lamps have been painted recently with this red tone that was frequently used back in the 1950s.
This 9227 table lamp design by Tynell is well recognized and considered by many as the pivotal point at which a shift in his designs started appearing. It was one of the first designs that had perforations/slits and adjustability in the shade direction. A feature that became almost a signature in his later designs. This slotted visor reflector moves up and down to direct the light to were it is needed.
Both lamps are stamped Idman and model number as well.
