REMBRANDT TABLE LAMP BRASS & LINEN RARE MARVELOUS MODERNISM! "FOLDED RIBBON" LAMP MID CENTURY MODERN PALM SPRINGS STYLE! DIMENSIONS: HEIGHT: 30" SHADE: 18" CIRCA 1953 WOW! A GORGEOUS 70 year old Rembrandt atomic styled modernist lamp complete with details in brass and black enamel! This is the "Folded Ribbon" lamp which features an hourglass body of brass with a centerpiece that resembles a folded ribbon! Iconic modern art! One simply can't find these wonderful Rembrandt lamps anymore! Rembrandt billed their designs as "Rembrandt Lamps- Masterpieces" and when the modern movement arrived, they were there in a big way with lamps that were simply works of modern art! Custom cast metal pieces made these designs so special! These lamps were expensive new, and production was never as high as their lesser quality competition. The result is that now these lamps are virtually impossible finds. Like finding a Duesenberg SJ or 1st year '54 Rolex Submariner! These lamps have become identified with the "Palm Springs style" - a rich, mid century look that has both exclusivity and extra panache! Now that brash mid century optimism and design flair makes them even more wonderful than when they were new! This one is in very fine vintage condition with the expected patina and minor blemishes time takes on metal and enamel.
