Samson Porcelain Ornithological Vase

About the Item

This lamp is both highly decorative and useful. It is by Samson, hard paste, unlike Derby and is spuriously marked Derby. As is sometimes the case, the bird painting is of excellent quality, The handles which are giltwood are very much in the Empire style and give the vase a Continental look.
