Early 20th c. Large George III Style Giltwood Mirror with Shell Crest

About the Item

Early 20th c., a striking George III style giltwood wall mirror nicely carved with shell crest, unmarked. The mirror border is richly carved in acanthus leaves and shells and with an egg and dart border around the inner perimeter. This mirror has great heft and presence. Dimensions: 59.5"h x 42"w x 3.5"d Condition: Good/Fair, break to bottom right corner, old repaired areas (see photographs). Mirror glass in good condition. Shows well.
