Pair of French 19th Century Napoleon III Period Louis XIV Style Mounted Mirrors
About the Item
A wonderful and very unique pair of French 19th century Napoleon III period Louis XIV st. ebony, brass and ormolu mounted mirrors. The mirrors are raised by two bun feet while the original mirror plates at the center are framed within a foliate patterned ormolu band. The elegant bell shaped ebony frames are elegantly decorated by fillets of brass and outer ormolu foliate band. At the top center is a decorative ormolu mount of a female mask with laurel branches in her hair.
