A visually striking pair of original Italian Art Deco burlwood bedside tables (nightstand - end table). Featuring the brilliant contrast of smooth rounded edges, sharp angles, and rich exotic materials the Art Deco period is renowned for! Born in Italy, circa 1930s, exceptionally executed in luxurious Art Deco Streamline Moderne taste, hand-crafted solid wood case wrapped in rich highly figured bookmatched burled walnut and exotic palisander rosewood, having a shaped top fitted with a dovetailed drawer, atop an open shelf cubby, over single cabinet door opening to removable porcelain liner, affixed with original patinated brass and faux wood bakelite fittings, rising on a cylindrical rosewood plinth base with aluminum trim. The backs stamped 39. Dimensions: (approx) Each: 26" High, 20.75" Wide, 15.5" Deep Please note, at the time of writing this, we have a matching / similarly styled bed available. Condition: Great original antique / vintage condition with beautifully aged warm rich dark patina. Strong, sturdy, stable, structurally sound. Wear consistent with nearly 100 years of age and use, including minor scattered losses and antique character marks throughout.
