About the Item
Sizable pair of solid wooden Joseph & Mary sculptures.
These folk art like, all hand carved and completely original Mary and Joseph sculptures could hardly be in better condition. With their pretty colors and friendly and happy faces, there is a naive quality to these sculptures that make us believe that they may have been used for educational purposes for children as well. Both of these large sculptures are entirely hand-carved out of solid wood, which explains why there also is a lot of weight to them. We purchased this unique pair with the rosary (with the antique cross) around Joseph's neck and we have decided they too (Joseph and the rosary) should stay together. These beautiful, endearing and very much alive sculptures will make you feel good everytime you look at them. Because of their profound meaning and importance to mankind these sculptures will never go out of style and if you like this pair of handcrafted European sculptures as much as we do then you will certainly love our price.
It must have taken a sculptor weeks rather than days to hand-carve and hand-paint these large statues and therefor too this large pair is great value for money. But also, because perfect packing and worldwide shipping from our store to your door (in just 4 to 6 days) are complimentary.
