Addison Art Deco Model B2E Black & Yellow Marbled Catalin 'Waterfall' Tube Radio

This Art Deco styled vintage tube radio was made by the Addison Industries Ltd. of Canada in circa 1947. This is Addison's model B2E, otherwise known as one of the 'Waterfall" models to collectors, and is done in a black and deep yellow or orange marbled catalin The heavily marbled case is accented with these orange/yellow catalin front corner bumpers and a stylized 'waterfall' running down the top to form the front speaker grill. The dial window is done in black with a green center portion, and cream accents. The case is in very good period condition showing no cracks, chips or hairlines and the knobs work although one does not appear to be seated correctly. This radio is in working order and has been tested on AM stations and attains considerable volume and clarity.

    Replacements made: The cable or string that moves the channel selection appears to have been replaced at some time. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. No cracks, chips, hairlines or condition issues to the catalin case. One knob for some reason is not seating entirely as presented in the photos and consistent with age and use.
