This is an antique mounted fishing reel. An English, mahogany and brass reel of sporting decorative interest and mounted on a travertine base, dating to the late Victorian period and later, circa 1900.
Of great appeal to the keen fisherman for decorative display
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select stocks show fine grain interest and deep russet hues
Quality brass fittings throughout presents warm golden tones
Skilfully mounted upon a stout travertine plinth
Rotary function intact, with tactile ebonised handles
