Vintage Snaffles Horse Racing Print, A Point To Point. Charles Johnson Payne. A good framed equestrian hand coloured lithograph by Snaffles, titled 'A Point To Point'. The colourful main image shows six jockeys jumping a fence with the caption 'The Big Fence, Slap at it for the honour of Hitem and Holdemshire'. The large central image surrounded by six vignettes of racing scenes, Toss'd about like an old 'at', Jumpin' Powder, Cook'd, The more mud The more glory, Where an ounce of blood's worth a pound of bone, Wreckage. This Charles "Snaffles" Johnson Payne (1884 - 1967) picture is in good original condition and framed in oak frame with original trade label, The Horner Galleries, Sheffield. Dimensions: Height 37 cm / 14 " Width 63.5 cm / 25 " Framed height 58.5 cm / 23 " Framed width 84 cm / 33 1⁄4" Framed depth 2 cm / 1" Period 1900-1949 Year 1922 Medium lithograph Country United Kingdom Signed Snaffles Condition Good clean original condition, some discolouration to mount. Colour slightly faded. Frame needs a wax.

    Original travel poster come to Britain for racing by Lionel Edwards. A striking horse racing poster by Lionel Edwards entitled 'Come to Britain for Racing'. The Travel Association of Great Britain and Northern Ireland published the chromolithograph to promote Britain as a holiday destination and it was printed in Great Britain by W.S. Cowell Ltd. London & Ipswich. The emblem of the 'Travel Association of the U.K, of Gt. Britain & N. Ireland' is in the bottom left-hand corner. The poster is a beautiful and colourful illustration, it is in good condition with no visible folding creases. This original vintage horse racing poster features an image of jockeys on their horses warming up before the start of the race.
