This elegant pair of Art Deco ceramic vases were realized in Belgium circa 1930. They feature rectangular volumetric bodies with square bases that cantilever beyond the perimeter of each form. The silhouettes vases are composed of columnar forms separated by channel detailing. The surfaces- executed in a rich cream hue- display a wonderfully even cracqueleur finish and stylized cloud motifs represented by swirling curvilinear amorphic forms.
