A Large-Sized Italian Heavily Foxed Velum Covered Globe on Wood Stand, 19th C.

About the Item

An Italian 19th century large globe on wooden stand. This velum covered globe is heavily foxed and has nice age to it which makes only the countries on the lower half of the globe visible. This Italian globe is raised on four turned legs connected by a cross stretcher. This piece would be perfect for an entryway, library or office.

This Spanish trunk from the 18th century features a long rectangular-shaped top which rests above a beautifully carved case adorn with a leaf motif moldings and geometrically designed panels with decorative accents within their centres. Front paw feet project out beneath the thickly molded skirt. The trunk's interior offers a large open storage space.
