Superb Quality and Condition Hand-Carved Solid Oak Arts & Crafts Fire Screen
Located in Lisse, NL
Very stylish and highly decorative Arts & Crafts firescreen. This one of a kind and very high quality carved, three-fold fire screen is another one of our recent great finds. When it comes to unicity, quality, practicality, condition and 'look and feel' then this antique ticks all those boxes. We find it amazing that the maker has not left his or her signature, because this truly is the work of an accomplished artisan. Apart from the beautiful Arts and Crafts design and the deeply carved flowers and the acorn motifs, this screen has the kind of patina that you wish to find on every antique. The look and feel is simply wonderful and we are certain this antique rarity will grace one of our client's homes soon. For those who did not yet know, this highly attractive firescreen would be placed in front of the fireplace in the summer so that the estate owners would not have to look into the darkish fireplace opening. It can ofcourse still be used as such, but this decorative work of art could nowadays also be used as a small room divider...
