About the Item

Designed by Philippe Starck for Driade in the early 1990s, Le Paravent de l'autre reinterprets the traditional screen with subtlety. Its pearwood frame and glass panels invite the owner to insert personal images or memories, turning a divider into a space for reflection and intimacy. The photos included were taken by Jean-Baptiste Mondino. The polished aluminum legs, engraved "Aleph by Starck," highlight Driade's craftsmanship and the designer's attention to detail. A refined and poetic piece, emblematic of the humanist approach to design in the 1990s. With the original leaflet and enveloppe. Manufacturer: Driade, Italy, circa 1992.
