About the Item
Akron born, Ohio based artist Doug Meyer finds inspiration in everyday industrial trash and transforms it in his converted barn. The once industrial rich manufacturing towns in Ohio provide the ideal raw materials for his creativity. Now 36, Meyer has learned metal handling in a trade school but has been fixated by sculpture. His style is constantly evolving and each piece is singular and one of a kind.
