Four Art Deco Coat Hooks from Adolf Loos for Cafe Capua, 1913 Vienna Austria

About the Item

Four, Art Deco, coat hooks designed by Adolf Loos around 1913 for Cafe Capua in Vienna Austria. Made of nickel plated iron they exhibit a patina from many wonderful days and evenings spent there. Adolf Loos designed three cafes in his life time. Perhaps the most famous being The American Bar. Cafe Capua was the last of the three cafes, located at Johannes Gasse Nr. 3, right next to Josef Hoffmann s Cabaret Fledermaus built in 1907. The cafe was best known as the place to meet for the concert crowd between the wars. Free Shipping !
