19th century carved oak English Umbrella bobbin stick stand
About the Item
19th century oak carved English bobbin stick stand. Found in Stratford upon Avon. It appears to have original pan and can withstand water in the shallow pan. There are carvings on the top of the stand and around the top apron piece. The stacked bobbin provide classic timeless styling. This piece has dark stain and a darkened pan. It is lightweight enough to be easily moved from front entryway to back entryway based on needs.
An English bobbin stick stand, especially one that's carved, is a beautiful and functional piece of furniture that dates back to the 19th century. These stands are often made from wood, such as oak or walnut, and feature intricate carvings and a twisted bobbin design. They were originally used to hold umbrellas, hats, or walking sticks, but they also make for stunning decorative pieces.
