Chic French Umbrella Stand Matégot Biny Style White Enameled Metal Brass, 1950s
About the Item
Elegant midcentury umbrella stand in the style of Mathieu Matégot, Jacques Biny or Pierre Guariche, France, circa 1955. It has a white enameled stretched metal body and a simple and chic white enameled iron handle with a nice patinated brass detail. The high quality umbrella stand stays in very good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. It is 73 cm / 28.74 inches tall including handle and has a maximum width at the top of 25 cm / 9.84 inches. Is a beauty and an eyecatcher which would perfectly fit in a modern or midcentury style interior with furniture of Gio Ponti and Fornasetti.
