Title: Large Vintage French Cartier Tropical Rare Silk Scarf Pink Irish Linen Pillow Description: Large custom made luxury cushion created from an exquisite vintage, pure silk Cartier fashion scarf in a glorious tropical design. The striking colour palette is strong, bight and bold with mid and pale pink grounds showcasing fabulous displays of jewels in vibrant blue, green and red - perhaps a nod to the brand’s iconic jewellery making and emerald, sapphire, ruby, diamond, and gold elements. The centre component appears to emulate an elaborate palm tree formation, with big chunky, dramatic gemstones in the middle. Decorated with ornate, bejewelled exotic sealife. With so much busy life going on in this lively picture, it is set as if a window in a rhombus pink ground, that too framed by a detailed boarder mimicking the pattern on the trunks of the palms. Energetic citrus accents on a fresh blue sea make the viewer want to dive into this whimsically luxurious location. It features different images gracing each corner - pineapple, fish, parrot, turtle. This piece is absolutely spectacular. There is an Art Deco flavour to the overall print. Would go amazing with a palm tree style floor lamp. Considered one of the most luxurious brands in the world, the Parisian empire originated in 1847 with Louis-François Cartier. The fabric was personally hand-picked by Katie at antiques market ‘Marche aux Puces Saint-Ouen’ on the outskirts of Paris. On a sumptuous silk soft to the touch. Backed in new 100% pure Irish linen, the aristocrat of textiles and certified by the Irish Linen Guild, lined in a layer of natural bamboo cloth, filled with new custom-made plush duck feather insert and a concealed zip. The traditional oatmeal color linen is a combination of the unbleached raw colour of the natural flax plant on the weft intertwined with pristine white on the warp, resulting in a beautiful melange effect. Katie is an ambassador The European Confederation of Flax and Hemp (CELC). This bold pillow is without a doubt the ultimate statement piece for an interior. Elegant and glam it conjures sophistication and seductive luxury with an essence of feline style.
