This is a wonderful antique silver plated Victorian salver bearing the makers mark of William Hutton & Sons, and dating from Circa 1860.
It has beautiful engraved floral and foliate decoration in the Neo-classical style and is raised on elegant scrolled feet.
This salver is of fabulous quality and will add an Imperial look to your surroundings.

William Hutton & Sons - the firm was established in Birmingham by William Hutton in 1800 and transferred in Sheffield in 1832 where the firm was active as manufacturing silversmiths and platers at 27 High Street (140-146 West Street from 1886).
After his death the business was continued under the same style by the founder's son William Carr Hutton until 1864, when the name was changed to William Hutton & Son. This was a partnership of William Carr Hutton and his youngest son Herbert Hutton (senior, born 1843).William Carr Hutton died in 1865 and c. 1870 Herbert Hutton Sr. was joined by his brothers James Edward Hutton (b. 1839) and Robert (b. 1840) and the name was changed to William Hutton & Sons.
A London showroom was opened in 1863 (13 Thavies Inn Holborn until 1891, and later 7 Farrington Road until 1918).In 1893 the firm acquired Rupert Favell & Co (manufacturer silversmith at Bucknall Street, Oxford Street, London) and in the same year became William Hutton & Sons Ltd.The firm acquired Creswick & Co in 1902, beginning to use their crossed arrows marks.The last Hutton family MD was Herbert Hutton Jr. before the company failed in 1930. The body of this Victorian coffee jug is embellished with an impressive broad band of bright cut ornamentation depicting connected Grecian figures intertwined with long flowing fabric, all on a matte background.
This narrative scene is flanked with an impressive interlacing leaf decorated border to the lower portion and a scrolling Akroter decorated band to the upper portion, in addition to plain moulded borders to the rims.
This impressive antique coffee jug is fitted with a flush hinged hallmarked cover encircled with a bright cut engraved undulating band; the flush indicates the high quality of the piece.

Original zoomorphic pitcher ewer in the shape of a partridge. Beautiful item made of silver plate for the head of the partridge nicely chiseled showing the lovely texture of feathers and blown blue glass for the body part, with a handle on the back. Yellow-colored glass eyes. The Head of the partridge is mounted on a hinge forming a movable lid for the pitcher-ewer.
This kind of pitcher ewer was mainly used to serve delicious alcohol or liquor with flavor and aroma, such as pear, and mirabelle plum, as it was during the "Belle Epoque" a very fashionable and refined custom.
This colored blown glass was produced by the Portieux Crystal factory created in 1705, it has a written mark "Deposé" beneath the body of the ewer, french work from the late 19th century, probably from Napoleon III period.
The history of this factory known as the "Portieux crystal factory" actually begins in Tonnoy in 1690. In 1698, Duke Leopold I of Lorraine granted letters patent to Sieur de la Pommeraye, owner of the premises, associated with François Magnien, holder of the know-how, the exclusivity of glass manufacturing and trade in his duchy.
In 1898, the Grand Duchess of Vladimir, wife of the brother of Tsar Nicolas II, discovered the factory while on a cure in Contrexéville. She will become a frequent customer.

Circular dish or tray with fluted molding towards the rim and plain skirt and bottom; In the center of the bottom there is a support decorated with a grooved band and a smooth base in which the cup is fitted by means of a special piece. The cup or vase has a circular base with a base and a body with a concave striated surface; ribbed ovoid belly and two handles in the form of female masks finished off in avenerated shapes; the neck is concave and has a smooth surface. The lid has a fluted edge matching the tray and a smooth area, ending in the center with a convex veined finish with a butterfly on a flower on top. This opulent antique table lamp features a Corinthian Capital decorated with classical ornate foliage in the form of splendid acanthus leaves above a striking tapering and slender fluted shaft.
It stands on a large partially stepped square base decorated with beading.
