Antique Kurdish Kellegi with Ecru Field and A Rust Border
About the Item
This interesting village kellegi (long rug) features two stepped chocolate medallions against an ecru field filled with semi-geometric flowers, weeping willows, four palmette crosses, dangling flowerheads and other amusing devices. The rust main border shows an imaginative treatment of palmettes and leaves. Straw outer border with reversing fan palmettes. Moderate weave. Good condition.
