Antique Malayer Kellegi with Red Field and Blue Border
About the Item
This ebulliently coloured kellegi (long rug) shows a tripartite pole medallion with a small hexagonal centre and giant anchor finials, on a shaped, brisk red field with lateral partial triangle mosaics. Goldenrod main border with rosettes and oblique foliage. Outer royal blue border with rosettes. Moderate weave, cotton foundation, good condition. Slight tent corner at top end.
