A handmade mid-century 'Tulu' (Turkish word for 'thick piled') runner rug from Konya in Central Turkey. The rug is made of 100% wool, therefore it is very soft and comfortable. Measures: 3.7x12.5 ft.
These simple rugs with geometric modern designs and lustrous wool pile were produced for daily use by villagers in Konya region of Central Anatolia until 1970s. Today they are considered collectible and highly decorative as each one is one-of-a-kind and representative of a diminishing form of textile and tribal art.
