"Modesty Veiled" White or Gray Armchair Designed by Italo Rota for Driade

About the Item

"Modesty Veiled" is an iconic polyethylene monobloc armchair, designed by Italo Rota and manufactured by Driade, available in white or gray colors. Indoor and outdoor use. White version only is available in quick ship. DIMENSIONS: D. 29.9", W. 29.7", H. 35.8", Seat H. 17.7" The quality of being modest and free from vanity, of taking care of modesty about manners, language, clothing. Simplicity and self-control, designed to avoid to accidentally show a part of body. A little bit of discretion and meekness. ITALO ROTA carries out his activity in the town planning, architecture, interiors and design, always looking for a new perceptive language and "accumulation" of meanings. His works change subject, scale and typology maintaining a relationship with the user that goes beyond the pure visual perception, establishing a link of intense "design sensuousness", due to his long professional experience in designing artistic installations, events, sets, temporary structures and mainly ambient projects in public spaces and architectures of high historical and artistic value in Italy and abroad. Works going beyond the boundary between architecture and art, creating sensations of multi-dimensionality, movement, mutable chromatisms, fusion of spaces that seem incredibly full of life.
