A pair of Chinese hand carved rosewood armchairs from the early 20th century with inset marble splats and dark patina. We currently have two pairs available, price and sold per pair. Possibly used by Chinese aristocrats, these rosewood armchairs delight our eyes with their richly carved structures. Each back is adorned with a skillfully executed décor of foliage, birds and fruits, surrounding a central marble inlaid splat. The foliage motifs are subtly reprised on the open arms in a curling dance. The rectangular framed seat is resting on four cabriole legs, visually connected to one another through a scalloped apron present on three sides.
