Rare German Mahogany Metamorphic Library Chair, Circa 1920's

About the Item

Designed to enhance one's private library or study, this unique model of chair cleverly incorporates two pieces of furniture into one fascinating piece. This chair is easily able to be used as a comfortable reading seat, as well as a flight of steps to be used to reach the higher shelves in one's library. This chair / step ladder is crafted from beautifully grained mahogany wood that has been stained in a dark, reddish tone. It invokes the dignity and elegance of an early 20th century library overall in its general appearance. The seat itself has been upholstered in black, tufted leather, which is both comfortable and professional in aesthetic.
