19th Century French Walnut Louis XIV Armbench

About the Item

19th Century French Walnut Louis XIV armbench is the perfect choice for the vanity, but also works well in a number of other uses throughout the home. Gracefully scrolled framework includes legs with acanthus plume carving and cloven hoof feet supporting the upper section scrolled in the opposite direction, and carved with lamb's heads in full relief as well as beautiful relief carving on the stretcher that connects the front to the back. The apron just under the seat is also lavished with floral and foliate carvings matching the stretcher, appearing on both sides for universal visual appeal. The luxurious silk damascene fabric is in great condition, as well! Circa 1890s Measures 23H x 34W x 17.5D; seat 15.5H. Available for pickup in the Dallas Design District, Dallas, Texas
