19th C. French Walnut Carved Lyre Back Side Chair

About the Item

Aesthetic Movement Style chair with fine form. A charming chair with carved openwork arch top back with a center lyre with bird heads within a scrolled frame. The turned sides with finials, and lower scrolled attachments to the seat. Splayed turned front legs and curved square back ones. The low seat upholstered in a wine red velvet. Dimensions: H. 37 1/2", W. 20", Depth 22", seat H. 17" Condition: There was an Earlier repair to a split down the back splat as well as a stable age crack to one lower scroll, one spot on the seat, otherwise having a fine presentation. Please see photos for details of condition.
