About the Item
These chairs were designed by the English designer couple Robin and Lucienne Day and edited by Hille for
the Royal Festival Hall in 1950. These chairs are part of a rare series produced especially for the orchestra
of this famous London hall, a light and visible thinness allowing artist dressed in formal wear to be able to
sit easily. These chairs are composed of a tubular base in black metal, a wooden and foam seat covered
with a white fabric, and an ash back fixed with brass screws.
