He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen and went on to work for various furniture manufacturers, including J.L. Mollers Mobelfabrik, where he designed some of the most iconic and archetypal Danish Modern furniture pieces. J.L. Mollers Mobelfabrik was a Danish furniture manufacturer, founded in 1944 by Jorgen Langkilde Moller. The company was known for producing high-quality furniture in the Danish Modern style, using materials such as teak and oak. The company was in operation until the late 1970s. The solid Burmese teak frame and legs show only minor surface scratches and light nicks (the worst of which can be seen in the detail photos provided) but showing no gouges, stains or other damage whatsoever and the teak woodgrains are absolutely mesmerizing in natural light. The original papercord seats show some minor discoloration in limited areas which can be seen in the detail photos provided but show no fraying, missing strands or other damage whatsoever. This elegant Møller Model 83 is incredibly comfortable, structurally sound and ready for decades more of use. Please view all photos for details on this 83's current condition.
