Monumental Neoclassical Style Hendrix Allardyce Chaise Longue
About the Item
Grand neoclassical style painted chaise longue hand-crafted on a monumental scale by California artisans at Hendrix Allardyce. Bespoke chaise from the Leonard estate in Pacific Palisades owned by Sugar Ray Leonard. Nearly 8 feet long the lounge features a beech frame with a scrolled back and serpentine sides. The large seating area is supported by 8 tapered and fluted legs in the French Louis XVI taste. The seat is upholstered with a foliate printed fabric bordered by patinated brass tack nail heads. The large frame is lacquered with an intentionally aged, distressed patina to mimic age. The frame is embellished with parcel gilt accents. The chaise is heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Handsome profile and large scale. The vintage fabric is faded but compliments the aged aesthetic of the piece.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Minor fading. Beautifully crafted with strong, solid joinery and construction. Aged, distressed patina on wood and lacquer finish to mimic age. Age appropriate wear with chips, scuffs, scratches, and light stains and fading as seen in photos.
