Contemporary Upholstered Dining Chair

About the Item

This made to order, elegant and graceful, contemporary chair plays on form and function. The S shaped aluminium legs create lateral supports that catch the seat structure and the 'floating' curved back. This creates a very sculptural, fluid and ergonomic contemporary design, that sits at ease in both classic and modern interiors and works powerfully as either a dining chair or as a conference chair. The woodwork of these chairs is individually hand crafted by skilled master craftsman who have a great knowledge of traditional techniques and a profound understanding and respect for the managed forestry timbers that are carefully selected for the furniture. The aluminium legs are created using high tech CNC machines and then polished to a very high standard. All fixings and bolts are A2 stainless steel. All upholstery is completed using traditional methods and top-quality materials. All the wood work is hand finished using five layers of natural oils. This allows the wood to breathe and encourages a natural oxidization/darkening of the timber. The over all effect of the chair is enhanced through the relationship of the tactile handcrafted timber, with the high-tech Industrial aluminium elements. Our aim is to ensure customer satisfaction and to this end we liaise with the client to choose their desired materials. Clients can choose from a selection of timbers; Walnut, Cherry or Oak. For upholstery we recommend fabric or leather. The CNC cut aluminium legs can be powder coated and or electroplated if requested. We encourage a strong interaction with our clients through regular updates using images and emails.
